Big Walls Big Dreams “All City” Mural Festival 2022

Excerpt from Art Valet:

Big Walls Big Dreams “All City” Mural Festival 2022 is wrapping up this weekend with a closing event Saturday (with Secret Walls) at Karbach Brewing Co 4 – 7 p.m. 2032 Karbach St., 77092.

UP Art Studio is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary by producing, creating and curating Big Walls Big Dreams, now in its second year in Houston. The event exploded from 20 murals in 2021 to 60 large scale murals citywide, by top local and international artists.

To take a self-guided mural tour and get details on the remaining events this weekend, locations of all mural sites, schedule of events (Sunday too), sponsor recognition, and who the artists are visit the website  http://www.bigwallsbigdreams.com.

NOTE from Mitch: I’m guessing the murals scheduled for Art Alley at Sawyer Yards, where I host The Market at Sawyer Yards, happened pretty quickly. The first I heard of it was when I arrived Saturday (11/12) for the market. SO COOL! The original plan back in 2006 was to swap out the original murals every other year!
Maybe with UP Art Studio’s Big Walls Big Dreams we’ll get to see this iconic wall change more often. We’ll miss the first round of murals but love new!

I snapped the pics below on 11/15, I didn’t catch the guys name on the left, but did meet “MrDheo.” These guys were slowed by the weather I’m sure. MrDheo (@Mrdheo) is from Valadares, Portugal.
All the muralists are listed on this page: https://www.bigwallsbigdreams.com/artists/
