A joint art venture by Lisa Morales and Stacy Gresell.
at Winter Street Studios #C-6

What started as a fun project for visitors to their studio – turned into a thought-provoking art piece collaborative art piece – between two artists and the public.

“The Thought Hive”

Artists and studio mates, Lisa Morales and Stacy Gresell both use collage in their art so it makes sense to me that they created an assemblage of thoughts on paper – torn from old books (I forgot to ask what kind of books!)

They invited friends and art fans to send them a short note about their thoughts on how they’re doing with COVID-19. Then they write them on paper, roll ‘em up and place them in the “honey comb.”

True to their art forms – of using materials on hand or found – they stumbled across a metal lattice and used that for a frame. Then for the honeycomb, simple chicken wire.

It’s unfortunate the studios were closed – they had planned to create this with guests during second Saturday open studios.

You can contribute – and check it out when the studios reopen!
