From The Leader: Konopka incorporates aviation into abstract artwork

I love asking artists in interviews what would surprise readers, friends and customers the most about them several years ago. It’s a fun question with very surprising answers. I didn’t have ask Eva that question – I knew – the colorful abstract color pencil artist is a self-described avid aviator.
I only noticed from her Instagram posts. At an exhibit of her work in the Galleria area, she had the first works incorporating aviation charts into her very colorful and surrealistic drawings. I was hooked!
