The art markets were in the spotlight in March, and a bit of a mixed bag too. First Saturday Arts Market is newsworthy for celebrating 20 Years! The Market at Sawyer Yards is sadly closing, and on the 8th anniversary in May. First Saturday was featured on Great Day Houston, The Market at Sawyer Yards in the Houston Chronicle. It’s been so crazy, I even thought about using the word “juxtaposition” in conversation! (I make fun of that word … a lot.)

Here are my favorite stories, enjoy!

GREAT DAY HOUSTON

A wonderful story about the market, Deborah Duncan talks with artists Lauren Luna, Julie Mahler & Lilli Lehtonen. Oh, and me!

Front Page News!

Assume nothing when a newspaper editor invites you to coffee. Stefanie Thomas (The Leader) interviewed me and wrote the nicest story about my history with First Saturday Arts Market. She must’ve felt the need to fact check me because she called on Steve Sellers & Martin DeVore for quotes! LOL
We had fun and got to support Levi Rollins’ new venture Salt & Sugar!
